....

Alright, so I know now that I'm terrible with keeping promises to myself, and I've been slacking off. Bad.
My buddy Tim and I had the opportunity last night to have serious discussion about our fitness levels, and our unhappiness with them. We came to the realisation that there's just over 120 days left in the year. About four months. That's plenty of time to see some serious change in ourselves, both physically and mentally. We've resolved to basically kick each other's asses and get working out more. His goal is to get down to about the 180lbs range, and mine is to get my abs back. It might be a vanity thing, but its also a fitness thing. I just really want to get back to the point where jogging 5km isn't terrible for me.

The work starts later tonight with my shoulder and arm workout. If I think of it, I'll post the results. I might even do it on a regular basis, who knows?

!!!

I've been keeping up with P90X all this week. Yesterday started me onto the recovery portion of phase one. Its basically Yoga, Core, Cardio, and then reverse. Next week, things get harder. I had a miracle happen yesterday though: I touched my friggin' toes! Like, feet flexed, knees touching the floor, and legs straight. I have never been able to do that. I blame Yoga. Awesome.
I had the best Yoga workout yet. Sweating like hell, but things are getting easier.

Today is the first time I'll be doing the "Core Synergies" workout, so I'll let you know how that goes.

Week 3 v.2.0

I had a bit of a false start last week on week 3 of P90. I did the first three days of the week, then... nothing. For four days. Not cool. So, I decided to do it over again. I did day one, then, three days off. These false starts have got to stop if I'm ever going to make any sort of progress.

I decided to just keep going; not restart the week. The past three days, I've been good, doing all the workouts, and eating fairly well. Tomorrow is Kenpo.

By the way, today was Legs and Back, and Ab-Ripper X. Seriously kicked my ass. I think that's its the most difficult workout for me, likely stemming from my knee problem. Yoga's rough too. I'm not flexible. And its an hour and a half long.
